Why local

Alaska bars run on long nights and short seasons

Closes when the internet doesn'tThe pin pad keeps taking cards while the connection is down, on a network we install and monitor.
Seasonal without the penaltyWinter Freeze bills software for the months you're open. Your hardware stays yours in the off months.
A spare on the next flightIf a station or pin pad fails, the replacement leaves Anchorage on the next flight, not ground freight.

Straight answers

What owners ask first

Can I keep a card on file for a bar tab?

Yes. Pre-authorize the card when the tab opens, attach it to the guest, and close it when they're done. The final amount, including the tip, settles at close.

What happens if the internet goes down at last call?

The pin pad keeps authorizing cards while the internet is out, so you can keep closing tabs. We install the network and watch it from Anchorage, so we usually know about the outage before you call.

Can we move a tab from the bar to a table?

Yes. When a group at the bar gets seated, the tab moves to their table with everything already on it.

Can I see sales by bartender?

Yes. Sales, tips and voids by employee, by hour and by item, in real time on the phone app and in the end-of-day report.

Can a bar run cash discount?

Yes, when it's done properly: the posted price is the cash price, the card price is disclosed before the sale, and the service fee prints on its own line. We set up the signage and receipt format at install.
