Straight answers

What owners ask first

Does it work without internet?

Quantic lists complete offline functionality for food trucks. Before your first event we test the connection plan for where you actually park, so you know what to expect when the signal drops.

How do I get online at a fair?

Usually a cellular hotspot or a router in the truck. The kit includes a network gateway we monitor; we'll set it up for the way you work.

Can I pause the software in winter?

Yes. Winter Freeze bills the software for the months you're open and pauses it when you're not. Your hardware stays yours.

Do I need a separate printer?

No. The handheld has a built-in printer for receipts. Add a kitchen printer only if you have a separate cook line.

What does a food truck setup cost?

The Handheld kit is $1,000: the handheld with card reader and printer, a gateway and a Wi-Fi access point. Essentials is $99 a month. No term.
